ENDANGERED SPECIES
Bald eagles gliding in the sky,
Humpback whales within the sea,
Snow leopards in the cold wind…and me.
Whooping cranes in nesting,
Herds of bison roaming free,
Desert tortoises in the sand…and me.
Caribou amongst the winter pine,
The swallowtail on the tree,
Brown pelicans in the summer sun…and me.
American crocodiles in the marsh,
Giant otters bask with glee,
Kangaroo rats out in the field…and me.
Utah prairie dogs in the grass,
Orangutans, funny as can be,
Fisher in the forest wood…and me.
Giant pandas playing house,
Brain corral from the sea,
Grey wolves nightly on the prowl…and me.
You must look to find the darter,
The great horned owl in the tree.
You had to search to find them…and me.
You recognized the condor,
Grizzly bear and manatee,
But one died unnoticed…me.
