JUST BE MY FRIEND

When I climb out of bed each morn,
To start the day off with a smile,
I only ask to find a friend
Who'll stop and talk with me a while.

The world can be a lonely place,
And friendships disappear. How strange.
So just a minute means so much
To those of us whose lives have changed.

A brain injury has taken much from me,
But I will make it to the end.
If you will only take some time
To talk with me and be my friend.
